Guru Purnima — 29 July
A special, momentous day in the Vedic calendar, when the energy of the spiritual teacher becomes most powerful. It is a time when the grace of the Guru is able to purify the soul and allow everyone to behold the Light of Truth. On this sacred day we express our deep gratitude and reverence to our Guruji through sincere following of his path and teaching.

Service — the highest form of worship of the Guru
Your service is the most tangible way to show devotion and purify your karma through conscious action. Use this opportunity to open within yourself the streams of selfless love and to let the boundless ocean of the Guru’s grace transform your life. Feed people and cows, adorn the Guru’s abode with flowers and help the Ashram in organising the celebration!

Guru Diksha
True birth takes place when you meet your Guru. A unique opportunity to receive initiation and the divine darshan of an enlightened Master, our Guruji Shri Dev Das Ji Maharaj.
Guru Purnima — the festival of the spiritual teacher
The image of the Guru is the basis of meditation. The feet of the Guru are the basis of worship. The words of the Guru are the source of the mantra. The grace of the Guru is the source of liberation.
Guru Purnima is the moment of the greatest spiritual tide, when the energy of the Teacher, like a boundless ocean of grace, becomes most fully manifest in our world. On this day we remember that the Teacher is not merely a person, but the very form of the Almighty, in whom the energy of all the gods is concentrated, revealing to us the knowledge of our true nature. Sincere concentration upon the Guru at this time becomes the most important task for the soul, for it is through his grace that we gain the strength to unite with the Divine.
The chance to personally bow before the Teacher on the day of Guru Purnima is considered the greatest fortune. Whether a personal meeting or a sincere union on the subtle plane of the soul, this moment of deep reverence becomes the key to the purification of the heart and to liberation from every obstacle of life.

The path of Bhakti
If material wealth is stolen by a thief, it can be gathered again. But if a person once misses the chance to gather spiritual wealth, they will never receive such a chance again.
The path of Bhakti that opens on this day is a living dialogue of the soul with God through sincere service and love. True devotion is not confined to formal rituals; it is born when we accept with all our heart the path of the Teacher and bring to life his precepts of purity, compassion and selfless help to all living beings.
Bhakti is the realisation that your every step, every breath in and out can become an offering to the Highest, turning everyday life into unceasing service and opening streams of love that transform your whole being.
